I had customer requests about the aurora a while ago. (Thank you, Magellan)
The "old one" was 30x 30x 10m and too small. Exactly my thoughts. :)
But to make it only bigger would have been not my way. I wanted to make it better in all ways.
I totally re sculpted the shape, made a better texture and removed all scripts.
Yes, no scripts, no lag. It has still an animated texture (works without script - tricky, eh?) and looks more natural in my opinion.

Enough words, here a picture:
Oh, by the way: It has only 2 prims, instead of 3 and its still "off sim compatible".
I sell it in 2 different variations. Above is the "intense" coloured aurora and below the "pastel" variant.You are always welcome to visit my store and see it right above your heads.

I worked on a new products to strengthen my home decoration and furniture range recently.
Lets see what i have made:

A set of layer glued bent tables.
Round and minimalistic shapes cobined with different wood verneers and a smaller table that can be changed with a color picker panel.

I also finished a long time project - the COMFY cornercouch.
Its shape is based on the COMFY couch i already made, but i took some time and learned something about baked textures in blender.

Be sure the smaller COMFY will get a baked texture update very soon, too.

Another nice example for the combination of modern and organic design is the LOTUS lamp.
It might look prim intensive, but with oblong sculpties i managed it to have only 5 prims.
It has a color change and color fade option as well.

I also worked on my store building - a kind of example for my home range, too.
Its meant as an "invisible house" - the way of houses that blend into the environment.
It will take some more work, tough. The menu isnt finished completely. I want to add a grass texture changer with some different preset grasses and the ability to add your own texture.
I am not sure if i should make the pond on the roof being toggleable - i think its a nice eye catcher.

Anyway, more stuff will follow - i have more ideas with the bent tables (probably making a dj booth with them), updated for the STACKEM and FABRIK houses are in the pipeline and of course:

trees.

Hello dear friends and interested readers!
I know i havent written here a long time, but rl and sl projects took long time. At least i want to show some sl results here - to view it inworld just check my sl profile for my current shop location.

Heres the hub with a holographic tree. My intention was to create an environment oh high technology going hand in hand with nature - like high tech should be. Not on cost of the environment, but in balance with it.

This tree should be familiar to you. I was very fascinated about the idea of neural networks connecting humans and environment.

Get a sneak preview of an ongoing project. A new family of beech trees. It will include small and tall versions as well as a small forest with neat light rays.

Floating isles at its best. If you have a chance visit the isle with the waterfalls but dont throw stones into the pond - the kois need a calm environment.

The Phantom Bug

Hello dear friends!

Lately some customers have informed me of not being able to sit on some of my products, such as the zen garden spring. I investigated a little bit and found something really interesting:

The entire problem is caused by a bug that makes objects with no sit target set (almost every multisitter object) not working when they are inside of a phantom prim. This will also be caused by sculpted objects, which seem to have totally different collision boxes that it may appear.

As you can see in the picture above, a sim panorama, far away from the coast line can have a totally different collision shape than you (and me) would expect. This can also happen with sculpted trees or rocks, even if they wouldnt be so huge.

Now the test - i tried to sit on the zen garden on my land while the sim panorama was rezzed...

It didnt work, until i removed the sim panorama which collision box was covering my complete parcel (even if the plane was several meters below the ground).

The good message is that the scripts are all fine and working correctly.
The bad message is that it works only if theres no phantom prim (no matter if sculpted or not)
crossing the zen garden.

The solution is simple.
Just make sure you ll have enought space between any phantom prim and the zen gardens.
Mind sculptie grass as well as invisible visitor tracker screens or sculpted rock platforms.
If you arent sure how big the sculptie collision box could be, just rez a prim with the exact size of the sculptie (use the build window to figure out the size) and make it a sphere, then move it to exact the same coordinates like the sculptie. I did it like that in the first example picture.

Hope this helped you a little bit and allows you to work around the problem.
It seems like LL wont solve the bug very soon, so i just can give you these tips and a link to the regarding JIRA.

It took me a while and it was not easy, but its decided...

*i want to concentrate on deejaying more
*i want to spend less nights on building
*i want to enjoy sl more but less often
*i want to meet more friends in rl
*i want to do more rl things in general

Hug it, touch it, climb it! There are many new trees at moaii and one of them contains my mainstore. Youre invited to climb the ladders, lay in the leaves or just spot visitors with the telescope. Base jumping is also very welcome if you can perform a few tricks!
I have also released a bunch of multi colored beech like trees (ok, the bark isnt really beech, i know ;P) and updated the mystical oak forest. Its now ready for autumn and has more menu options.
I am also glad to welcome the 4th talented artist who joined the moaii community. Currently Eleonore Chevalier, Korba Huet, Cecilie Federschneider and Ceria Semple are showing off their work and welcoming you to their sea view ateliers. Theres only one free store/house left, so better hurry!

I spent much time to update my volcano engine to mono and better scripting at all and passed them out to the people who have puchased it.
If i have missed you, please leave me a message inworld and you will get your fresh copy.
You could also use the redelivery terminal to get an updated version. Thats why i love hippoVend. xD
Anyone who has huge plans and thinks my volcano engine is too small can buy it and then touch the optional update vendor in my mainstore to get the big bad brother of the volcano engine. It throws 5 m rocks and is really bad ass but also low lag scripted and versatile like the original.
It works also if you have previously purchased the volcano engine version 2.1 or 3 inworld.
If you bought it at Xstreet, just IM me, ill pass you one manually, since Xstreet doesnt offer such a great API like hippoVend. (again - i love it, LOL)
More updates: well... just come to my place and see, many new products, but still not everything for sale, sorry - but it will follow soon.
One thing is the great lighthouse i developed in one whole day. Its inspired by a lighthouse in my RL hometown. I just love it and have rezzed it to be looked at and to be sit on at my sim. Great decoration for every harbor area.
The harbor area is another nice spot that makes Moaii a little bit like my hometown. It offers a 7seas fishing site, cosy places to sit and nice houses or shops to rent. Always worth a look.

moaii is back

okay... long story, but it ends with the monthly tier to be grandfathered at a modest price...

I just need the space to show all the things i have created and to be able to build without removing any displayed object. And i love designing sims! xD

The whole thing is still under construction and i think it will take some time till its finished - but you are always invited to peek in.
I have a mixture of urban (not grungy) and natural design in my mind and i started to raise up a harbor area.
I will soon install a 7 seas fishing kit and probably a magic carpet ride as well as my lovely glowing crystal cave. Bigger and more beautiful and filled with lots of new crystals and mushrooms.

The volcano and the magic stone circle are there already and the sim is growing almost everyday.

I have also updated my reed vase with toggleable sounds and a color changer and released "Herbie the Bean" - a nice sculpty plant for your window sill...

Heres another funny thing i enjoy so much at Ohana Isle.
almost everyone on our lovely isle made a funny vending machine that offers random stuff on payment - a neko tail vending machine that gives one of 10 tails for example.
Heres mine. A new kind of glowing one prim sculptie crystals - 11 shapes in 9 colors and 11 colour changing ones. All are transferable, so if you get one double, trade them with your friends. I hope you ll enjoy them as much as i do!

I was looking at SLX to do my daily work recently and found this accidentally.
The small picture was posted in a thread regarding copyright question and turned into a flame war.
Ok, no flame war, but some guys didnt liked that my turntable was posted on SL dot com as a good example for creativity. Well if they say so... I gave my opinion to that too. Its the last post actually.
I am on the copyright thing a little bit longer and changed this items textures, too. So now you will not find the original vendor picture anymore - only the updated version with the buddhabeats logo.
This will be the only version to be sold from now on and i will not sell any dj gear with original companys logos on it because i dont wan to infringe their copyrights.
Well its free advertising for their stuff, isnt it? And i think i did my job well.
Thank you all for supporting me and considering me to purchase one of my items.

threre is it gone...

I left moaii due to the tier fee raise upcoming next year.
I am back again at Ohana Isle again, not the old spot, but not far from it. You cant miss it!
A pity that this place is going to be smaller than the open spaces sim - so i dont have enough place to display all my items like i did before, but i hope i can show as much as possible.
Since the movement and the abandoning of moaii has cost me a lots of L$ i was thinking about raising the prices slightly.... but...
That will not happen. May prices will remain as they are because i dont want to punish you for being such loyal customers.

I would love if you mind adding me to your picks if you like my shop and if you join the buddhabeats group you will also recieve gifts and special offers regulary - its worth it!

Hello Dear Friends!
Its winter again... cold... wet... ugly... UGLY? ;P
Not at Ohana and Moaii! Check out the beautiful side of winter - fluffy snow, ice floats, a romantic atmosphere and lots of sparkling and twinkling stuff. I was busy like an insane hamster on espresso even if a flu hit me down so i am still not finished with all my "all american x-mas stuff". Okay, okay, its more winter themed, but fits the christmas themes as well.
So if you werent there within the last few days, you should come and see what we made - its really worth a look! And of course, many new winter trees and other stuff for sale.
The treasure hunters may be interested in our december hunt which goes from 12th till 21st.

ITS AUTUMN!!!
We changed the terrain textures and pulled our autumn trees out of our inventories. Ohana and Moaii are inviting you to wander around under the falling leaves and just relax or shop your ass off! ;D
I found another very funky radio from belgium and decided to use it for my land for now. Funky, upbeat electric jazz - visit my store and tell me what you think about it!
I have not released so much new stuff because i reworked some scripts in my actual products to avoid bugs and passed out the updates. Manually. Yes, thats lots of work! I bought an update server and willl equip some of my products with an auto update script to save the work in the future and to do not miss one of you!
I am also loooking forward to HippoVend 2 - an update to my vending system that will allow me to pass out gift vouchers. I am planning to give a small discount - you can buy a gift card worth 100 L$ but pay only 90 L$ or something like this!
We are preparing for the next treasure hunt right now! The flyers will be passed around within the next week and the hunt itself will start at friday, sep 28th. The theme will be octoberfest - yay!
I will hide some unreleased autumn stuff and nice home design as usual!

always adding something new to my land, making experiments and modifying something...

I took away the asian shop layout and rezzed my new creation on the spot where it was before:
STACKEM. My newest urban minimal building with maximum space and maximum control.
I dont want to raise myself up in the air, but i love the new house i made! ;D
Its like a dream of an architect and the nightmare of a stress analyst.
Every fan of minimalistic and experimental design would love it - andf it has a very low prim count for that size as well as groovy features.
Just get a look at your own when dropping in soon.

We will host a new treasure hunt from luly 25th to august 3rd, so its worth a visit!
I will hide the 5 treasures quite challenging on moaii and i will hide an uber treasure too!
This will be hidden VERY nasty, hehehehe.
I am working also on a new high detailed dj mixer and will make a new turntables set from it as soon as it will be finished. It will be available as a turntable x (temp rezzed) and as a high prim turntable again.

wow... i am still thinking "am i dreaming?" every time i rezz at moaii - my new space. This picture is a good impression i think. ;D I got 2 active volcanos, a weather system, a guided tour magic carpet (thanks JonyBlade Codesmith! ;D) and some new trees and plants for your visual delightment! I still have the hangglider (oh, i gotta make new textures for the wings...) the giant ginko tree with the awesome walkways, the asian houses and the famous freebie of the month - now for 0L$ insted of 1L$! YAY! I made also some awesome stuff for the treasure hunt between may 30th and june 8th as well as new products for sale! You can buy my giant ginko tree now and i added a texture changer for the foliage as well as some cute particles ;D And some more stuff - come see! ;P

the island is ordered and i am looking forward to designing a new and bigger place!
i have planned to keep the style between asian traditional and modern design and i will keep it really natural. i am not sure about the treehouse yet, but i am working on better textures for the leaves. i will also offer it for sale as soon as it is finished. There will also be a volcano like on ohana and i will keep the teamwork with Eolande which includes also treasure hunts and common island design.

i will pass out a group notice on buddhabeats when i get more news - so better join! ;P

issue on rotating objects

i noticed that the last SL update has caused some issues on rotating objects - they will not move anymore.
I figured a simple solution: just take and re rezz the effected object and it will work again.
this is no final solution but i will see what i can to to solve it finally!
If anyone knows how to handle it - i really apreciate it if you would IM me or drop me a note.

color changing madness

I made lots of groovy new stuff the last weeks, so i was too busy to update this blog... ;D

Lots of new attractions were installed at our beautiful Ohana Isle during the last days!
The Slides of Death - a huge rope sliding facility over the whole Island.
The Guided Tour Gondolas are set up now and invite you to a smooth turn over the water.

Ohana is running a "regular" monthly treasure hunt and i have decided to hide another really special gift on friday to celebrate the grand opening of the buddha beats store!
